Job Description
We are seeking a highly competent Legal & Compliance Officer to support our mining operations in the Lindi Region. The role involves ensuring full legal compliance with Tanzanian mining laws, labor regulations, environmental policies, and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will provide legal advisory services, draft and review contracts, and manage all regulatory and statutory requirements related to mining activities.
The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), with admission to the Bar being an added advantage. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in the mining, energy, or heavy industry sector is preferred. Strong knowledge of mining regulations, land laws, and corporate compliance frameworks in Tanzania is essential.
The candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to handle legal risks proactively. Experience in dealing with government authorities, licensing processes, and dispute resolution will be highly valued.
